Today I joined with fellow Reiki Master, and my own teacher and mentor, Maureen Rivelle, for our session. We set a space in the forest behind her house to share Reiki for this group, the collective, and the whole world.
We set the altar, lit some incense, and started with a card pull from Greg Scott's "Journey to Kanaka Makna: Rediscovering the Light of Island Wisdom" deck. Maureen fanned the cards and I chose one. We received: MAKANI WIND: NIAU AKU NEI MA KAMAKANI. Swiftly Sailing away on the wind.
…as I write this for all who joined today, or may be joining later, my heart is broken. For those who didn’t see my messages on the event comments on Meetup or Facebook, I already wrote this post. After my lovely field trip I came home and set to working from my notes and cards. I spent over an hour recapping the lovely session, started adding my pictures, and as I added the last (the 4th… ironically, as this was a 4-based day) a popup I’ve never seen before from Wix said, “Couldn’t save this post” – due to a network issue. A little scary, but I know my posts auto-save along the way. I took a picture of that error and the brief background text pieces surrounding it of what I’ve re-typed/re-created above. I tried scrolling for more pics of the text, but could not, so had to say “OK” to refresh… and… as I’m sure you’ve gathered by now, all was gone.
Since I’ve started rewriting I’ve gotten a few new errors from Wix – ones I’ve never seen before about connectivity and lost work (and even lost a couple paragraphs twice). I kept hitting save (which reminds me, unhelpfully, “you have auto-save turned on”) and then moved into Word to try to finish up… but right now, my heart and head hurts. I apologize for the delay, but I need to sit this out. (Once Wix said I was editing this post in another window… which I was not… and a flitter of hope made me think there’s a chance I could get it back.) Because the errors have continued I think I’m still clinging to that. Otherwise, something I created, and all the love and energy behind it, is gone. It is in this moment, and whether it comes back or not I need a little space to breathe and reset before I get into the writing again. Please excuse that. I have included the cards for today and will do a quick overall summary now, but I’ll come back to this later tonight or tomorrow, to fully give it my love and attention again.
So – 4 the Earth & Teeth, pt 1:
We focused on the wind. I connected with a rainbow bridge and Earth vibrations. I started sharing at the Soul Star Chakra, and circled that down to the Earth Star. A lot of energy balancing with the Earth.
There was definite power coming in from the number 4, and after this realization I saw and felt it everywhere.
Coming up from the Earth Star I attended to each chakra, with a lot of attention given at the Throat. From here an intense ache at the two lower, center teeth drew my attention for a lot of time, and various noticing and treatments. It led me to our card draw, which became two cards, and I felt the first was for the teeth, while the second was a general guidance.

You may be feeling stuck where your personal intentions are concerned. Self-mastery and discipline may be hard to achieve right now, or specific plans for personal change may be being blocked.
Remember that your intentions need to be clear and unconflicted. Whatever you’re working on, you need to know that you are capable of achieving it – and that you deserve it. Put your heart into the plans and changes you desire and realize that you are worth your own time and effort. The new beginning you seek will come with your own focus and patient determination.

This card reversed indicates that the dark times are behind you – or at least beginning to fall away. You can take heart that sunny skies and better times are on the horizon. This new light may bring a time of reassessment and redirection for you. Let yourself consider where you want to go next. Also spend some time reflecting on the difficulty that has passed. What was the lesson for you? Whether it’s about self-love or empowerment, remember to bring these intentions (and the lessons learned) into your bright new path.
