The element of Water was a strong presence when I set up, while today’s altar stones were primarily supportive toward the Root Chakra.
As I began there was a potent scent of clarity in the air. That smell of extra clean air that actually has a smell rather than absence.
I was first drawn to a strong energy at the left temple, up into the forehead and head. It was present throughout the session. A little tight and tense, but mostly just strong (perhaps overwhelmed). The imagery that came with it was like the white line in Bride of Frankenstein’s hair… a one-inch thick path from the top of the temple and eyebrow flowing up and out, on and beyond the head.
Early, and throughout, there was also a lanky red-headed entity present (an odd occurrence to me, for one of these sessions). They were mostly observing, sitting at a desk. At first they felt like a teacher or interviewer, then later more of a interrogator or interpreter. I felt as though they were acting as a guide or communicator, but not to me directly.
When I held Reiki for the left temple energies the flow became quicker and stronger, pulsing and vibrating my hands. It opened a sense of this energy on the right side as well, though lighter. I saw flashes of jade daggers shooting through the darkness of space, as though along this energy path. The energy stayed quite potent and didn’t release much as I was called to other areas as well.
I spent some time at the lower lungs and ribs, as well as for the right groin.
Moving back to the head I went inward this time, seeing lines of wispy color, like a brilliant sunset over an endless sea.
As it continued to puzzle me, I attuned that the significance of this intense sensation was to be held with grace, rather than questioned. It felt potent and immutable with force, while the struggle around it could be softened with Love. There was a sense of Magic beyond understanding… this was an Energy first, simply accompanied by sensation. It wasn’t ready to be prodded or revealed further.
I closed with a card draw from Sandra Anne Taylor’s “Energy Oracle Cards” deck, requesting guidance for the coming week. We received #36 SECOND CHAKRA, ARCHANGEL ARIEL, inverted (description and image below). This draw also seemed to be related to clearing through the legs.

Visualize Ariel spinning a beautiful light in your second chakra, calming and healing the energy there. Know that real closeness can be both safe and comfortable for you, and that you deserve a depth of sharing in your relationships.
AFFIRMATION: My second chakra is open to its perfect, healthy state. I am creative and self-nurturing, more and more comfortable with the gentle waves of intimacy coming my way.
