This post is for my 10/22/21 Group Distance Reiki Session. If you are reading this at any time please know the energy and message, as it resonates, is perfect for you.
Before the session, when setting up the altar, I called in some energies from the recent Full Moon for inspiration and empowerment. I did a draw, asking for a card that would provide guidance and support for the next 13 days, as we transition into the New Moon.
From Diana Cooper’s “Angels of Light” deck we received the card PURPOSE (full description and picture below).
Going into the session I invited continuing awareness and empowerment from these energies as I began connecting to share Reiki. As I centered in I saw the image of a Tree of Life, and imagined each branch that reached out was a connection to a soul requesting Reiki today. There was definitely an extra ethereal element to today’s connections, perhaps those who recently passed or being remembered are also joining in for this session.
I lit a candle as an extra token of connection, in their honor.
Settling in, a ball of energy came before me, about a foot around, hovering between the Solar Plexus through Root chakras. Seemingly curious and playful I placed my left hand below it and right hand above, and observed.
Expecting to send Reiki, it pulsed strongly outward, sending energy through me! Up both arms and stabilizing at the shoulders, a strong flow persisted. It first appeared translucent, but after my touch and feeling it’s flow, it moved from white into the palest hues of blues then greens. Aware once again of it’s location by my body I thought perhaps these colors were balancing the yellow, orange and red of the lower chakras it was near.
After this recognition I became very light-headed and felt intense energy at the Crown and 3rd Eye chakras. I once again purposefully brought to mind the image of the Tree of Life to flow this energy, for the highest good, through me to our group.
The ball morphed into a void of cosmic darkness, deep and endless, with sparkles and waves of stars and other galaxies, feeling much like a doorway beyond understanding.
I started moving my hands around this widening space, which became more like a fading veil of connection, as my awareness was also on moving the energy in my current physical location… integration and circulation. I got very cold… until the dark, starry doorway full faded.
I opened my posture and focused on deep breathing for several moments, simply seeing a soft and comforting mossy green.
Scanning the body my pelvic floor felt activated, and a bottom border to a similar edge of activated energy rose across the top of the shoulders. Like two corresponding curves of a horizon. I held Reiki at these two places, following the left lower & right higher posture of before (still quite light headed as well – so I visualized an additional set of Reiki Hands to hold the Crown).
Deep pain and tightness started just below the Heart – a collapsing feeling. Like a stop-motion ball of crumpling paper. Sensation spreading in an ache to the upper front chest. I kept my hands in position at the borders of the torso, but imagined Reiki Light joining between them, to meet at this spot. The tension and pain eased dramatically right away, but held on slightly for several minutes longer. Then a spark of energy at the center-point sent out a wave of calm that began growing and spiraling outward, leaving soothing peace in it’s wake.
Deep sigh. Whew. Those were some intense events!!
The remaining peace was so smooth and gentle, drizzling now like tiny waterfalls from within the eye sockets, down to the jaw, and filling the whole torso. Then effervescing back up from the shoulders around the ears and meeting at the Crown.
A comforting heaviness at the Root, appearing like a giant river stone plugging the base of this pool of calm. I focused in on this spot and felt grounding gravity encompass all.
This felt like an Earthing nudge to completion after some incredibly powerful movement today. I knew I still wanted to draw a card for the session itself, but felt first to sweep around the aura to smooth, round-up, gather, and seal all of this work and energy – for integration and dispersion over time, as best for each participant. Then I held an extended gesture of gratitude, with a closing smile, before moving toward the cards.
