Another New Moon is upon us; and so the cycle goes...
At 6:17pm PDT/9:17pm EDT the New Moon in Cancer graced our skies with her apparent absence. The major phases of the moon are always an emotional time, with the New Moon more internal, revealing and reflective. This New Moon in Cancer will turn up the volume as the sign of the crab is already very loving, emotional, and nurturing, while strongly family- and security-oriented. These next two weeks before the Full Moon provide an opportunity to focus on self-care, planning for your needs and personal security. Allow those emotions to flow and be teachers, and see what comes up for you to open the door on your next chapter.

I knew I would use that card as part of my full New Moon Ceremony and reading, and was called to draw just one other this evening. In both cases I asked for guidance for all readers and participants in making the most of the moon energies, and the moon phases over the next two weeks.

Happy announcements regarding relationships or children (full description below). This fits well with the outgoing and community relationship side of Cancer, which is also our Sun Sign right now. Let yourself feel joy and celebrate with those close who support and truly nourish you - and your soul. But make sure to keep true to your heart and check in with your needs, because you may feel the instinct to pull back into the shell: you can celebrate individually, or with some alone time too, or may be more inclined to have intimate one-on-one time than extensive group events. You don't need to be a people-pleaser right now.
